DESCRIPTION
The heritage of the University of Utah is a western heritage. Before Utah was even a state, the university was here. Founded in 1850 by pioneers who crossed a thousand miles of open country and decided the frontier needed a school, the U held its first classes out of settlers cabins, and tuition was a whopping $8 a quarter. Our students hauled limestone up miles of hill to brand the Block U into the mountainside. Our fight song was born on a football porch in 1904 and still ends in a cowboy holler.

What started with a flag became something bigger. The shirts kept showing up on campus. Then came the license, and a name built to outlast one season: Saturday Co.

Every school has its own Saturday. Its own colors, corners, and songs. We research each one from scratch and design like it is the only school we have. Because to the person wearing it, it is.
